Carpet Mold Prevention Treatment in Mahanoy Plane, PA

Carpet Mold Prevention Treatment in Mahanoy Plane, PA

Carpet mold prevention treatment is about beating the clock. Mould spores are already in every home. Give them wet carpet pad, a wood subfloor and room temperature, and growth can start within 24 to 48 hours. After that, you are no longer drying a carpet. You are cleaning up a mould problem.

Mahanoy Plane, PA Wet Carpet Drying applies carpet mold prevention treatment in Mahanoy Plane, PA as part of wet carpet drying, before the growth window closes. After we extract the water and pull back the carpet, we spray an EPA registered antimicrobial on the carpet backing, the exposed subfloor and the tack strip. Tack strip is raw wood with nails in it, and it stays damp longer than most people think.

The treatment is only half the job. Mould needs moisture, so the real prevention is getting the carpet, pad area and subfloor dry fast. We set air movers under the carpet edge, run dehumidifiers and keep the room closed so the equipment is not fighting outside air. We check moisture meter readings daily until everything is back to normal.

If you already see spots or smell a strong musty odor, tell us when you call. That points to growth that has already started.
